The thing people get wrong on Base

Base and Ethereum share your address but not your balance — sending an asset to the right address on the wrong network is the most common way funds get stranded, and the recovery is a bridge, not a refund.

Receiving ETH

  • Open WRAITH and select Base from the network list.
  • Tap Receive for the QR code and the full address — 0x… same address as Ethereum mainnet.
  • Check the first and last four characters against the source before sending a large amount. Address substitution by clipboard malware is real, and this is the check that catches it.
  • Send a small test amount first when using a new address for the first time.

Everything else on the same seed

Base is one of around 46 networks WRAITH holds from a single BIP39 phrase, across roughly 14 signature families — including native Monero and shielded Zcash, which almost no browser wallet ships. Browse the full directory →

Frequently asked questions

What derivation path does WRAITH use for Base?
m/44'/60'/0'/0/0 — the standard path for Base. That means an account created in WRAITH can be restored in any other standards-compliant wallet, and an existing ETH seed restores to the same addresses here.
What does a Base address look like?
0x… same address as Ethereum mainnet. WRAITH shows a QR code and a copy button on the receive screen so you never retype one by hand.
Is WRAITH a custodial Base wallet?
No. Your seed phrase is generated and encrypted on your device and never uploaded. WRAITH cannot move your ETH, and cannot recover it if you lose the seed.
Do I need a separate wallet for Base?
No — that is the point. The same BIP39 seed that holds your ETH also holds Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Monero, shielded Zcash and around forty other networks, behind one balance.
